Study on Combustion Characteristics and NOx Formation in 600 MW Coal-Fired Boiler Based on Numerical Simulation

The variations in the boiler operation conditions have a great effect on combustion characteristics and pollutant formation furnaces. This work aims to investigate effects of operational parameters NOx its distribution furnaces using numerical simulation method obtain optimum control strategy for reducing emissions. models pulverized coal involving flow, heat transfer, are established. Taking 600 MW supercritical opposed firing as study object, full-scale three-dimensional physical model is constructed with Gambit software. On this basis, under various loads numerically simulated software Ansys Fluent 2021R1, accuracy reliability established verified by comparing data field test data. According 128 groups operating conditions, load, air rate temperature been emphatically investigated. results indicate that concentration mainly affected oxygen furnace. Especially, variation excess coefficient, over-fire (OFA) ratio, primary ratio internal secondary vary greatly. When increases overall furnace increases, influence OFA greater than temperature. Large amounts necessary source further prediction at economizer outlet, which can improve ability generalization model.
